Project Blackcomb has unfortunately been canceled due to many factors. One of the reasons why is that one of my siblings had installed a virus that spread itself onto my machine. This virus could've potentially modified the Project Blackcomb files. I have changed all of my passwords, and have completely reset all of the computers. While there is a chance that the files are fine, I can't be too sure, as some of the files show up as false positives with the safe and "dangerous" version and it would be hard to tell which files are safe and which contain malware. It would be a long and tedious process. While I could backtrack development to the safe Milestone 0 Revision 1 build publicly available, I don't have the energy to do so. Another reason why I stopped was due to my declining mental health. This project and other issues around me caused me to have severe depression. I used to be passionate about this project and spent hours working on it. Now I barely get an hour of work a day. I also don't really find the idea unique. It's literally just a Windows 10 to 7 conversion kit with some extra programs and a Vista taskbar. There are numerous other projects that have put way more effort into making them a reality. If that's the only thing that makes it different, I don't find it worth it. You may be wondering why I took the entire website down as opposed to just leaving it here. It's because I don't want to leave people waiting for something that's never going to come. This is also because the version currently available is poorly made, and can brick your install if set up incorrectly. Project Blackcomb was kind of made just as a way to get a Windows 7-like experience on my crummy laptop. Now that I have an actually decent computer, I can just run Windows 7 in a virtual machine way easier and safer than modifying half my system. In the future, I may make a version of Project Blackcomb based on Windows 7 just for the hell of it, but I think it's best if I just leave it for now. Thank you all for the support you have given me the past few months, and I may see you later. Farewell.
